'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial major trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he earlier was, and would certainly consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
